goose: What is the crime if somone driving intentionally runs someone over, then flees?
What is the crime in Washington state if somone driving intentionally runs someone over, then flees? The catch is that the person who got run over did not suffer severe bodily damage, in which case could it be vehicular assault? Or just hit and run?
I believe that they can only charge them with vehicular assault (which is pretty much attempted ) if the victim sustains serious bodily harm. In this case, she did not.

Don’t leave out leaving the scene of an accident!
Thats called attempted vehicular manslaughter I do believe. Same charges for attempted murder I would assume since a car can be a deadly weapon.Answer by annonymous
