What is the cost of staying at a motel by the month?

MARIE S: What is the cost of staying at a motel by the month?
Does it cost more to rent an apartment or go to a motel that is pay by the week? I have friends that are stating that they are going to live at Extended Stay America for $ 740/mos. My rent is higher than that and I have to pay utilities.

It depends on the hotel and on the apartment. A hotel can cost less, and keep in mind that a hotel has amenities such as maid service, laundry, cable TV and internet, room service, etc.
