David T: What is the best way to study algebra 2 independently over the summer?
I have no knowledge of what is in algebra two, but I’ve taken algebra 1 and I’m currently in geometry. Next year though, I’m taking honors algebra 2 so I need to have a stronger understanding of it (a placement test put me into honors algebra 2 but I’m borderline. I just want to get off the border). I considered taking a college class, but they were already full of people.
-What Should I study?
-How can I study this?

Texas Tech has a distance learning Algebra II program that is quite inexpensive ($ 125 plus book) and covers all the basics of a high school level course. It’s self learning and, if you’re good at that, you should be able to do well and go into class in the fall with a big advantage over other students. If you need help, there are always tutors available who can work with you according to your schedule and need. You might want to check classifieds and Craig’s List.
I’ve been tutoring a student in this program and found it really easy. He has gotten straight A’s on all the assignments and just needs to pass the final for full credit.
Good luck!!
