strwrs24: What is the best way to get a hotel from an airport without using a rental car?
My wife and I are planning a trip to Orlando. We want to visit all Disney Parks and Seaworld. I found a Hotel that gives free shuttles to all those destinations, but the Hotel is like 20 miles away from the airport. I don’t want to pay for a rental car for a week and half just to use to get-to-and-from the airport and Hotel.

ask if the hotel will pick you up from the airport, some do
most hotels offer free shuttles to and from the airport, and sometimes the airport offers a shuttle, call both places and ask.Answer by mArRitO
there’s this white big vans outside the airport which are not that expensive… at least not more than a cab… and it’s better because of the luggage… but i first would ask if the hotel doesn’t already have pick ups.. and check out the prices.. good luck! :):)Answer by TDK
Usually hotels have a free shuttle that can take you from the airport to the hotels. If that isn’t an option, there are usually independent shuttle services that can take you as well which are cheaper than taxis. I believe reservations ahead of time are necessary but at least it will be cheaper and more convenient for your family.Answer by blinkingwizardeyes
I had to catch a taxi from the airport to a hotel several miles away. The taxi driver told me that pretty much any hotel in the area from the airport was about a $ 20 fare so maybe it’ll be the same.Answer by Michael M
you got many choices, use a cab, limo service.
most hotels will shuttle you for free or low costs.
sign up for a tour and those will get you around easy enough.
just remember vacations aren’t cheap.

You didn’t say where the hotel is in relation to the parks. If you’re staying at DW I’d just cab it. There’s ample transportation once you’re there. If you want to go anywhere else in Orlando (Seaworld, Universal Studios etc.) or out to eat it might be worth getting a car.
BTW everyting is at least 20 miles from the airport. It’s in the middle of nowhere.

If you want to take a bus, when you pick up your luggage you will see signs for the bus service that takes you to various hotels. They offer round trip tickets for around $ 25 per person.
Given that you have luggage, it might be easier to just take a cab to your hotel. It’s a bit quicker, and much less hassle. You can also pre-arrange for limo service (just call your hotel and ask them which limo company to use) – most of the limo company’s that operate in Orlando will allow a grocery store stop so you can stock up with some food and drinks to bring to your hotel with you. The limo’s are about $ 70 each way but well worth it if you want some food in your room. Plus the driver handles all your luggage!
Have a great trip!
Answer by ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Use Mears shuttle buses. They do stop at all the hotels but are probably the cheapest mode of transportation to get you to Orlando airport to the local hotels when your hotel doesn’t offer a free shuttle service. You can also check into getting a towncar, limo or taxi which are all right there waiting for you when you come out of the baggage claim area.Answer by evecfc1888
