Caitlin G: What is the best moderate hotel to stay at in Disneyworld Orlando?
I live in Australia and next year I am going to Disneyworld with my mum. We would like to stay at disneyworld and we can afford to stay at a moderate hotel. But it is very hard to pick the best one just by looking at a website. Can anyone recommend the best hotel from personal experience?

You might want to look at this website – they have tons of pictures, more than the Disney website, and there are lots of reviews of hotels, also: https://www.allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm
My personal favorite is Port Orleans – French Quarter because it is smaller and tends to be quieter and is also easier to navigate around. The other moderates can be quite large and sprawling and hard to get around. Fort Wilderness is also a good choice, particularly if you plan to spend some time at the resort. The cabins are spacious, and there are so many activities to do there.
Answer by Gray’s MomI also agree with the Port Orleans French Quarter. I stayed there twice and loved it, and I have also stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, and while that resort is beautiful, I have mixed feelings about it. Mainly, it was such a large resort that it can take forever to walk from your room to the food court. And at the end of the night the lines for the buses for this resort were so long, it took forever to get back to your room at the end of the night. I still want to check out the other moderates some time, but I have never stayed there so I can’t comment on them.Answer by Lecegirl Gelinas
i would really recommend the port orleans riverside or caribbean beach resort! i have stayed at POR more than 5 times and i stayed at the caribbean beach resort last time i went. the CBR pool is AMAZING and it is a very nice tropical hotel. our room was a short walk from the pool so that was nice. POR also has a very nice pool and is within a boat ride of downtown disney. it is not that crowded usually and very worth the money. have a good time! im going on december 23rd!Answer by Bec
Another vote for Port Orleans Riverside. Yes it’s large, but the landscaping is beautiful.
Check out www.portorleans.org for more information. That site is chock full of photos and info. You can’t go wrong!
Answer by rachelMy vote goes for Disney’s Carribean Beach Resort. The food court is great, they have an amazing new pool, and I love the tropical decor. It is also fairly centrally located for quick bus rides to the parks. Whichever resort you choose will be wonderful! Have a great trip!
