matt p: What is the best book that includes most of the lost books of the bible?
I want to read some of the so called “lost books of the bible,” the Gnostic Gospels, Dead Sea Scrolls, etc. Are there any good books or collections of these texts available? Is there a version of the bible out there with these texts included?

The Nag Hammadi Library, a collection of thirteen ancient codices containing over fifty texts, was discovered in upper Egypt in 1945. This immensely important discovery includes a large number of primary Gnostic scriptures — texts once thought to have been entirely destroyed during the early Christian struggle to define “orthodoxy” — scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip, and the Gospel of Truth.

They were all written around the same time as the Gospels in the bible but were thought lost until 1945 when they were discovered. (Dead Sea Scolls).

Though translations of documents found among the Dead Sea Scrolls are still probably copyrighted and available only for purchase. Mudcat provided some good titles.
