What is the best ballet and what is the best part for a ballerina?

PC: What is the best ballet and what is the best part for a ballerina?
I am wondering what is considered the best ballet (the Nutcracker, Black Swan, etc) and what is the best part for a ballerina (the black swan character in Black Swan, the little girl in the Nutcracker, etc.)?
What ballet is the best?
What ballet part do ballerinas want?

Just so you know, Black Swan is a fictional reinterpretation of The Swan Lake that was put in that Natalie Portman movie, not a real ballet. Also, there are thousands of ballets, but of the classics, some of the principal roles (the ones that go to the best dancers, involve the most stage time and technique) are:
The Nutcracker (Casse Noisette) – The Sugar Plum Fairy, or grown-up, dream Clara
Giselle – Giselle
A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Titania
Coppelia – Swanhilda
The Sleeping Beauty – Aurora
Cinderella – Cinderella
Don Quixote – Kitri
La Bayadere – Nikiya
La Sylphide – Sylphide
Romeo and Juliet – Juliet
Swan Lake – Odette

Note these are the female principal roles, not the male ones, and many famous ballet roles are for danseurs.

Well it really depends. It’s a personal preference. My favorite is the Nutcracker and it all depends on your age. Like Claar if your young Sugarplumfairy if your older

some of the best roles to play in a ballet (fyi if your doing this professionally you would have to be a principal artist or maybe rarely a first soloist) are:

Aurora (sleeping beauty)
odette/odile (swan lake)
clara (the nutcracker
the sugar plaum fairy (the nutcracker)
juliet (romeo and juliet)

as for the best ballet..it would probably be swan lake. Romeo and Juliet is a shakesphere story turned into a ballet. the nutcracker is amazing but it’s very christmassy (im pretty sure it was made for the festive season). Sleeping beauty is also amazing but swan lake is to original to go past..the story was created by ballet and it’s a timeless classical

definately swan lake 😉
and the best part about it is that if you get chosen as odette (the swan queen) you get chosen as odile too (the daughter of robarth who pretends to be odette)

YAY!
