Matthew: What is the best airline you have ever flown with?
I would have to pick British Airways or Cityjet. Their prices might be expensive but their customer service is exeptional and so is the food 😀 Ontime performance is far better than most other airlines.
What is your favorite/best airline you have flown with and why?

Southwest Air — the flight was under $ 50.00 and the experience was perfection.
International: probably be Kingfisher Airlines from India. Fair-prices, amazing service (seriously got a full, hot, tasty meal in economy on a 1.5 hour flight and an amenity kit) and good entertainment (seatback TV), and great flight attendants.
Domestic: (tie) Virgin America and Jetblue. Both offer very comfortable economy products and excellent seat-back TV. Jetblue gets points for a good selection of free snacks, generous leg room, and very friendly crew. Virgin America gets props for cheap upgrades to main-cabin-select, and relatively cheap upgrades to an amazing first class product, plus Red, their entertainment system is fantastic (I especially like being able to order food and drink refills at any time without leaving my seat)
Overall: Goes to Kingfisher, but only slightly.

EDIT: As the answerer above me points out, Southwest Airlines deserves honorable mention for having awesome crews, and for not screwing over their customers with endless fees (they still let you check in 2 bags for free, and change flights easily)
I think First Air. To fix some schedule conflicts with connections caused by schedule changes, Air Canada put me on a First Air flight from Yellowknife to Edmonton. First Air served a real breakfast, not just a packet of crackers, in coach.Answer by Dr. Jekyll, MD, EngD, PsyD, PhD
Domestic: Virgin America/Continental (tie). Virgin is clearly the better airline for an experience, but Continental has so many more destinations, especially when tapping into the Star Alliance network. I also like the complimentary upgrades to First on Continental, not to mention on those random occasions when I don’t get upgraded, they still serve food during meal-times.
International: Singapore Airlines. Hands down. Best in air service of any airline.
