Depending on price, Virgin Atlantic is your best bet. They have more pleasant service, but most of all, they have better in-flight entertainment (on-demand movies, including recent releases like Juno, No Country for Old Men, etc). The entertainment is the best. In other categories, they are similar to the other airlines, but I prefer them the best out of all of the NYC-London airlines. Plus, if you get airline miles, they have the best deals to use them.
Probably Virgin Atlantic, especially if you want good leg room in economy.
I fly from Manchester UK to Philadelphia USA alot, and i use US Airways. They’re cheap, always have recent movies on the in-flight entertainment system, good choice of music, and the food is lovely too.
If you want to see what kind of plane has what,go to www.seatguru.com and select a plane you’d be flying on by one of the airlines (the plane type is usually listed when you select “more info” on a possible flight you’d like,if booking online). The web site gives you space details and what entertainment is usually offered on those types of planes.
Answer by SharmilaUnited and American are the first out- United is terrible every single time I make the mistake of choosing to fly with them. American is also bad- and cheap, too. As a rule, generally, American carriers aren’t the way to go when choosing an international flight. Continental is okay- a decent choice if it’s the cheapest and there aren’t many other options, as for British Midland, I haven’t flown with them and can’t give an opinion. That leaves BA and Virgin- generally speaking, both are great airlines, but I tend to fly with British Airways on U.S.-London routes- they’re my favorite. They have an excellent safety record, comfortable, good service, and great in flight entertainment. BA legroom in economy is standard. Virgin is also wonderful, of course, so I’d recommend whichever has the best price 🙂
For further research, you can go to https://www.skytrax.com/, which gives ratings and reviews of all airlines. Good luck 🙂
