N.Liz: What airline is the most affordable to travel from Canada to the UK?
I am planning on a august trip over to England. I have never gone international before so I don’t know what airline to pick, if there are any good discounts out there. If I should book now or wait for a last minute deal? Any advice would be useful. Thanks.

Go search the travel sites for discounts and/or the carriers themselves! Sometimes it’s best to connect with a knowledgeable travel agent.
Because you are traveling over the summer months it is important to book early. The earlier you book the lower the price. I would suggest you look at Transat for the best, most affordable airfares from Canada. The other thing you need to consider is where in the UK are going as that will determine the airport and probably your air carrier.

Since you have not traveled to the UK before I would also suggest you talk to a good travel agent. Believe it or not they can save you time and money because they are very knowledgeable. They will help you avoid expensive mistakes, ie flying to wrong airport vs where you want to travel.
