Kat: What is an good upbeat classical music song for ballet?
I need a happy or good song to choreograph a ballet piece to. It should be something that will hold the attention of an audience that may not be very interested in classical music/ballet.

Answer by petr bIf you are a non-for profit, you might be able to use this fairly recent piece –
John Adams; Lollapalooza.
An energetic, rhythmic audience friendly and tonal contemporary classical piece completely free of any preset associations a lay audience may have about ‘old’ ‘stuffy’ or ‘formal’ classical music. It runs about twelve minutes.
Its strong Rhythmic aspect makes it a natural for choreography.
best regards.
