bigbadbob113: What is a good gift for a student teacher to give to a cooperating teacher?
I will be finishing up my last student placement assignment (11th grade Social Studies) next week. I wanted to get my cooperating teacher a gift to thank him for all the help he has been. Since we are both male, I didnt want to get him some kind of sappy crafty gift or anything like that. What would make a good gift?

Leather compendium – pen, diary etc or if you have time and a little bit of money to spare you could go to a book binders and have them do up a hard cover leather bound book (novel size) with the title
‘X years of wisdom’
by
‘My Teacher’
Obviously you replace the X with however many years your cooperative teacher has been teaching and you put his name in the ‘My Teacher’ position. The pages are blank – jokingly implying his wisdom is limited.
I recommend trying to recall him mentioning something that he liked, then going to get it. If he did not, then maybe get him something that will help him with being a teacher, something to put on his desk etc… If he means a lot to you, and you are sort of friends, like I am with some of my teachers, ask him, or give him something more expensive and/or personal.
