amy: What happens if gave contact info to scammer?
I was looking for apartments in NYC and found a really good deal. The person only left an email address. I emailed them and they asked for my name, phone number, address, and where I work. I was really really stupid and gave that information. I didn’t give them any financial info at all. What can they do with this information?

well, depending on what it is he plans with this info, is doubtful. You could get multiple solicitation calls, mails. As long as you didn’t give your SSN, DOB, and DL, your fine. Although, i would send that e-mail address to authorities and file a report on scams and theft of identity.

well they could sell it and your email could be spammed to death, but you could change that> could make prank phone calls and you can report that to phone company. Now if they do anything with your work thing, then you can let your employer know and they can deal with that, that is against the law> If you do not hear from who you gave the information to, I would file a police report so that would already be on file
