Pieman: What gives me the best chance of success while gambling in a casino?
I will be in Lake Tahoe staying at a casino resort this Thursday. Does anyone have any suggestions for me relating to gambling – What games do you recommend and what to play on those games? I like Craps & Roulette but have not had too much success. Does anyone have any plays they recommend?

Blackjack, has the best odds of any pit game… 1 1/2 to 1 against you… and THAT is good… but the catch is you MUST PLAY ALL THE POSITIONS… if even ONE person take a spot… the odds go up a lot.
me i can bring luck
roulette is better odds then craps but depends on the casino
Answer by MonkeyboiCraps has the best odds/ return on a bet ~$ 97.50 for every $ 100
Instead of betting on your own dice, bet on others peoples dice.
At any rate, the only money you should gamble with is the money that you would feel just fine lighting a match to & burning.
When I go to play my goal is to stay at the table & drink more than I’ve lost gambling (including tips to keep the pretty waitressess coming back). In this I’ve never lost.

Set yourself a limit and try to have fun. Go in assuming you will lose, because, odds are, you will. Set a limit, and don’t exceed it.Answer by Mr. Luva Luva
There are 3 keys to success when you walk into any casino:
1) Choose the right games. There are many to choose but only some have a small “house advantage”. Those are the games to play. When you walk into a casino, you always see miles of slots. This is because the casinos make the most money on these. Avoid the slots! The 3 best games for the player are poker (if you know how to play), blackjack and craps.
2) Play with optimal strategy. If you like craps then hit the internet to learn the most profitable ways to play. I am not too experienced with Craps, but I have been told to bet the Pass Line and when the point is established, take max odds behind your pass line bet. With blackjack, download a strategy card and use is at the tables. It will tell you the opportune times to hit, stay, split and double.
3) Last key is managing your bankroll. Don’t bet over your head. Have a set bankroll of X amount of money. Set goals for yourself. If you buy-in at blackjack for $ 200, then when a goal of being up $ 200 and when you hit that goal, walk away and go to another game.
Have fun out there and good luck!Answer by Lyle R
The best tip I can give you never gamble with scared money(money you cant loose). Always gamble with money that can be lost, scared money never wins. I would go to the roulette wheel, slap 20 bucks down..2 on your fav # 2 inbetween the 0-00 and the other 16 in two ranges of 4 #s. Then take another 20 bucks and split it and put 10 on the first 13,the middle 13, or the last 13. If you hit then ride the wheel, if not get up and go play single deck black jack! 4 good #s would be 17-20-7-32….two red and two black in the same spot on the wheel…Answer by Christopher B
Roulette has terrible odds, stop playing it. The scared money advice above is very good.
Play balckjack or craps with full odds, sprinkle in a little video poker.
Answer by rykim718I’ve been a student of gambling for many years. While I can’t say that I’ve made a fortune at it, the few times I do go, I feel I can extend my play or make out a little overall. Of course there are those times when you hit a roll you cant lose and that’s what makes it fun.
Craps and Blackjack can give you the best odds, but only if you play them correctly. Odds are still in the house’s favor, but it gets very close to 50/50. Since you like craps, I’ll explain how to play it “by the rules”.
The thing that makes craps so favorable is the true odds you can take on the pass and come bets. Always take max odds. Those bets are 50/50. For example, it pays 2:1 for a 4 or a 10 before a 7. That is the real odds of hitting that roll. The “sucker” bets are the ones in the middle of the table – hardways, craps, etc….but they are also the most fun. As long as you know that going in, there’s nothing wrong with tossing a nickel in for a hard 4, or a dollar ‘yo.
The way to play craps is to play the pass line and the come with max odds (usually 2x, but ask. Tahoe may be 1x odds). I play a pass and two comes, and the I wait to see what happens. If it starts hitting, I’ll press up to three comes.
You have to make sure you come to the table with enough money. To play this way, you optimally need 50 – 100x the table minimum, so for a $ 5 table, you should have at least $ 250 to play.
good luck, but more importantly, have fun!
Answer by William HIf you’re staying at a casino, then they may give you a fun book. Look inside for match play coupons. The match play coupon should read that you will win $ 10 for a $ 5 bet on any table game. This is an example of a positive expectation bet.
In poker there will be many opportunities for you to have a positive expectation bet. Try Harvey’s at South Lake Tahoe as they have a 40 poker table room.
Answer by sean cTry online casinos listed at https://onlinecasinoforyou.blogspot.com
The 50+ online casinos listed there offer no deposit bonuses and more than 100% initial deposit bonuses that you can use to increase your odds. I personally prefer Blackjack since it gives highest odds (approx. 98%). After all free bonuses, you will be at advantage over casinos in the short-term. Try out different casinos using bonuses and see which one gives you higher winning rates.
