I have a dog and I live in an apartment. Will my pet deposit cover the carpet he ruined? Or will it go towards the repair?

If it was a huge deposit it will. Expect the carpeting to be in the neighborhood of $ 1,000 to replace.

Your pet deposit is merely a down payment towards potential pet damage. It is NOT intended to cover all damages your pet may cause. Expect to pay the eifference between the carpet replacement costs and your pet deposit.

Any damages caused will be deducted from your deposit. If the damage total is more than your deposit, you will receive a bill, which you will have to pay.
