: What does it take for soccer players to be eligible to play in professional soccer?
I want to become a professional soccer player, but don’t know what I have to do in order to become one. I don’t have much soccer experience because my parents never put me in soccer when I was little. I just played once in my sophomore year in the spring and only played for the city, but I have never had a soccer coach or anything like that. So I am not really sure.

You have to be very very very good.
Preferably in a country that values soccer more (like an european country).
Then start working your way up starting in the small leagues, training a lot.
Well even though I’m younger than you, I had the same problem as you. My parents never really put me in any soccer. Last year I started rec and really go into it! I played in a mini spring league and loved it again. In May I decided to try out for a select team and I made it. I train hard every day and at every practice. I know its possible because I am way better than many players that were better than me a year ago. Just get in there and give it your all. Train hard.Answer by Qman
First of all you have to start playing at a really young age. Join a local sunday league team and dedicate your life to football. Major teams have people touring the countries looking at games to see if they can spot talent. If you are spotted you are offered a trial to get into that teams academy. Once in the academy you are coached and if you keep improving and learning eventually you could make it into the first team. It is one of the toughest professions to make it in and many waste the early years of their lives and never make it. You can’t just decide that you want to be a footballer.Answer by Jack Ramirez
First off you need to be very dedicated in every way possible. Taking care of your body no smoking, drinking, partying, going to sleep early and eat very healthy etc…. Practice very hard every single day be a self motivator always helps. Always try being the best at everything on the field as well as off it in practice with your teamates but always remember to be humble in your own way, but inside always think to your self “Im The Best” . There so many ways after your fit and ready to go of course. Look for a competitive league first you dont want to be playing in lower leverl leagues unless you want to play for fun. Try college leagues thats sounds like the best one. After try semi pro league like the pdl or academy here in california in other states probaly called something else but check into that anyways depending in the state you live in look for the closest profesional team near you and tryout for their academy or semi pro team. If you want to start any where i think that would be your best chance. I tell you from experience not from what i heard, I play pro myself in a lower division in mexico and played for cruz azul, queretaro, irapuato and leon other big clubs out there. Hopefully i was of some help! And Good Luck Its Hard But Not Impossible. =)
