MiMi: What does it mean when your cat has been having diarrhea for 4 days?
We’ve been feeding our cats friskies dry food since we’ve got them a year ago. And we also feed them friskies wet food. Well about 2 months ago we stopped the wet food. Just recently we started them back up on it. Our oldest cat hasn’t shown any signs of diarrhea, and both of our cats are indoor cats. Could changing their food like that be the cause of my youngest cats diarrhea problem?

It means too call your local veteranarian. Make an apointment, and check it out.
Sometimes changing the food suddenly can cause problems like this, but some of those canned foods really are not good for cats. Some of those Friskies wet foods contains soy products which can cause a cat to get sick. If you get the canned food, make sure it is Turkey/Chicken based only. Usually the fish ones are the ones that contain components to make the cat sick.
Otherwise, it might not have anything to do with the food at all. Best make an appointment to see a vet.
Answer by biddychange in diet is the most likely cause try your cat on dry food for a couple of days if this doesn’t help take him/her to the vetAnswer by Ocimom
Yes or it could be worms. Anytime a cat or kitten has a problem more then a day or two – you get them to the vet. Diarrhea can cause dehydration quickly. Get him to the vet.
IMO if you feed both wet and dry every day, you don’t have those problems. All dry can cause some cats (especially males) to develop UTI’s. Best diet is dry and canned each day and raw several times a week.
Answer by Christie Ayes because a kitten or younger cat’s body system works differently from an older cat’s body system. because the food was give to him/she and then stopped after a while you said you then started back up right? well when i goes into you’re cat’s body it only pays attention to wait ever you used to give he/she and so it’s not good for him/she right now.Answer by Garekenas D
