Read, sleep, bring an iPod or a hand-held game, try to find a cute boy to talk to.
First of all, there are movies, video games, and radio right at your seat. Take a magazine, and some soduko/crossword puzzles. Nap.
Normally, if I’m traveling overseas, I try to plan my flight overnight so I can sleep.

Hey,
I’m also a teen girl and I go on long hauls all the time to visit my family in India.
Well, first of all:
1. Bring an iPod or mp3 player. If it has video playback, fill it up with a bunch of movies you haven’t seen or haven’t seen in a while. Other than that, fill your ipod up with new artists you haven’t listened to. It’ll keep you entertained for a few hours.
Best of all, fill it up with an audiobook. When you listen to audiobooks, time will go by much faster, because you will be paying more attention to it than rather how many songs you listened to or how much time’s left.
2. Bring a good book or two that you haven’t read or haven’t read in a while. Start reading the book a few days before your flight so you’ll be “in” to it and won’t feel lazy to read once you’re on the plane. (Trust me, if you try to start reading a book on an airplane that you’re not into, you won’t pay much attention and will get bored easily.) Bring books that you knwo will enjoy. You’re a teen, I would not recommend you bring something like Great Expectations or Jane Eyre. (Unless that’s what you like reading.)
3. Bring varied magazines that you haven’t read. If you’re interested in anime, bring anime insider, otherwise you can bring something like Seventeen.
4. Bring Sudoku/Crosswords/Word Searches. They make time fly. Sudoku itself is somewhat addictive (for me atleast, but then again, i’m just a nerd =])
5. If you have a Nintendo DS or Sony PSP, take it with you, and a bunch of games too. But just make sure you have a universal charger for it so you can charge it when you reach the Philippines.
6. If you don’t know anyone on the plane. Make small talk with you neighbor. (only if you feel comfortable tho)
7. Ask for a window seat. This can be good for different reasons:
*good view of take off and landing.
*you can rest your head on the side of the plane when you sleep.
*others don’t disturb you if they have to use the restroom.
8. If all else fails, SLEEP.
Just remember that whatever you bring with you on the plane, you have to carry. Don’t pack too much, you don’t want to cart around a bunch of stuff.
And one more thing…don’t buy things like magazines or books at airports. they will be more expensive.
Well, that’s all I can think of right now. If I think of more tips, I’ll add them later. Good luck!!

Omgoodness! The Philippines! Very long flight!
Well, I am 18, and when I go on flights I usually read a good book, listen to music, watch the movies they show on the flight, read magazines – the airplane magazine, Seventeen, Cosmo, etc. – look out the window, sleep, etc.
Joy enjoy yourself! Flying is such a luxury that a lot of people don’t get to experience! =)
