I’m going on vacation across state for the weekend. How old do you have to me to rent a motel for a few nights. Can I pay cash up front or do I need a credit card?

You have to be 21, It is best to have a credit card because when you register they might charge more than they quoted to make up for any theft or damage. Expect to pay from $ 75.00 up for a decent room, otherwise you might find yourself in a welfare motel.

Not much, I’ve stayed in motels without even having to put down a cash deposit. There was never even a mention of a credit card being required, just government issue photo ID
