Well firstly I just want to say it takes an athlete to dance but it take an artist to be a dancer. I love how I feel when I dance like I am flying and like I am beautiful, it is the best feeling in the world ๐ Dance also can help prevent injuries ballet is all about correct body placement an using the right muscles. But trust me ballet is hard everyday I get better i realize just how much harder it is then the day before. Ballet makes my body and mind feel good but it is a lot of work and if you want to get good you will have to work super hard, well good luck no matter what you choose to do ๐
Ballet takes strength, power, flexibility, grace, musicality, structure, and above all of that, you have to make it look effortless. Unlike other forms of exercise, in ballet you have to engage every part of your body, and be aware of every part of your body and have control over every part of your body. In other words, ballet requires you to think as well as move and helps strengthen you.
From ballet you acquire all the things I mentioned in the first sentence. A good thing to take along side ballet is either yoga or palates.
I love ballet because it is fun and makes you feel invincibly feminine and gracefully powerful. Ballet is wonderful for anyone and everyone of all ages. I really hope you choose to do ballet.
OH wait a sec, I think you will find this helpful, make sure that you meet with your future ballet teacher before you enroll in anything! The class you are looking at taking could have a teacher who is strict, no fooling around, and professional, or you could get a more laid back teacher who is just doing is to give you fun and exercise. Now don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things in between. I had a ballet teacher once that had her kid playing and taking up studio space during class! chose wisely, and get the most out of your experience.
Good Luck, and thanks for listening to me ramble! ๐ ๐ <3

Physical benefits include a stronger core, more flexibility, hip strength, and generally it keeps you overall slimmer, but the physiological benefits are even greater. When everything in my life is going wrong, I know I always have a dance class I can go to, in order to feel better. I can’t explain it, it just makes me feel good about myself. I like how you can be a whole different person in every dance class. One day you could pretend you are dancing the part of Juliet, the next day, Copellia. I feel like ballet is the only language I can use sometimes, when I cannot express how I feel through the english language. I suppose different people have this kind of expression in other ways too, some through art, some through poetry, some through song, but for me, it is the only thing that works.Answer by โฅ
