mermaidsplash01: What do you do if your breast implant “deflates”?
A friend of mine has breast implants. When I saw her the other day I noticed she looked really flat on one side (she’s had them for at least 10 years). I’m really concerned about it. She has gone through some tough times and has gone from rolling in money to the poor house after a divorce so I know she has no money to seek medical care for it. What does someone do if they have problems with something like this but no money for medical bills. I doubt welfare will help out with this sort of thing. Please only serious answers as I am seriously concerned for her health.
It’s not REALLY flat….one side is still pumped up like a basketball and the other side looks…well…normal.

i have checked in to getting breast implants and they say that you should get them checked every year for leaks and replaced every 10yrs b/c they don’t last forever!!!!!!!!!!! you friend needs to go to the doctor money or no money… go to the ER, she has a leak and needs to be seen by a doctor asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Answer by m c
She probably has a slow leak, the saline will just get absorbed by the body, she should be fine. But eventually, she will have to get it replaced. Because it has been so long, she might have to get the other one “adjusted” so they look even. It will cost her a new implant, surgeon, and room and anethesiologist fees.
No, insurance and certainly not taxpayers will pay for this. She really cannot ignore it, unless she wants to walk around completely lopsided. Credit cards or some other financing. She could also ask friends and family to donate and take up a collection.
