o tannanbaum………….
Christmas trees have their original roots in pagan Germanic tribes, when they used to sacrifice 9 men from each tribe in a sacred grove (the number 9 is sacred in Norse mythology). During attempts to Christianize the locals, Saint Bonaface introduced the notion of Trinity to them by using the cone-shaped evergreen trees because of their triangular appearance.
The origin of the “modern” Christmas tree dates back to 17th century Germany. (The link gives the full story).
Answer by treatsinlifeThe meaning of Christmas Tree comes from German Tradition from a verse in the Bible that says “I am like a Strong Evergreen Tree” interpretation was to think of God as Everlasting. The evergreen type trees are always green through the winter. God is forever young forever lasting through any winter of life. Therefore it is a symbol of God’s mastery over adversity.Answer by Sam_i_am
