Razzle Dazzle: What do they look for at an anatomy ultrasound?
I am scheduled for an anatomy ultrasound on the 31st of this month. I am 35 weeks pregnant and was told to drink alot of water and have a full bladder when they do it. What are they gonna be looking for and measuring on the baby? This will be my 4th ultrasound this pregnancy. The only problems I have had is placenta previa which has moved up and looked good at my last ultrasound, so I was just wondering what this one would be for? Thanks!

I would assume they are going to be doing all the measurements to make sure he/she is growing at the right pace. Being so close to your due date they probably want to make sure of the weight, length, etc. They probably also want to make sure the placenta has stayed out of the way so there’s no problems during birth. I am not a doctor by any means so this is my guess and opinion…so I could be completely wrong lol. Good luck and congrats!
