B: What do parents think of a 15 year old daughter getting a cartilage piercing?
My parents are kind of iffy about piercings and so far I only have just one lobe piercing on each side and I really would like a cartilage. What do other parents think about their kids getting them?

i have mine pierced and when your hair is down, you can’t even see it. i honestly forget i have it done sometimes haha

Most NORMAL parents don’t have a problem with it, but all parents are different. Like seriously, what’s the big deal? It’s just an earring in your ear. No big deal. I think it’s pretty pathetic when parent’s are iffy about a piercing like a cartilage piercing. I could understand if they were iffy about you piercing your eyebrow or nipple, but a cartilage piercing is nothing, at least in my opinion. My mom doesn’t have a problem with any of my piercings (industrial, monroe, nose, 4 in my ear), but my mom is much more laid back and cooler than most parents. But overall, I’d say about 95% of girls I know, their parents don’t give a crap about a cartilage piercing.

Dude mine didn’t care one bit. Mine lied about my age to the piercers and let me get it when I was 11, in sixth grade. Hahaha.

I got Both sides of my cartilage pierced when i was 12. But, you know.. thats just me.
My moms asian, so shes pretty strict on things. I still cant believe she let me have 3 piercing on each ear

My daughter is only a year old, but knowing the kind of damage that can come from an improper cartilage piercing, i.e., one performed with a gun at a rent a shop store in a mall, like Claire’s, I would make sure that if she wanted one, that I would take her to a PROFESSIONAL studio to get it done, just because I know that some retard working at Claire’s or Piercing Pag watched a video and watched co-workers pierce some lunatics ears for 2 weeks before becoming a “piercing professional.”

my dad let me when i was 14 (almost 15)…and let me tell you…it took A LOT of persuading. It just depends on the parent…my dad ended up viewing it as “there are more important things in life than worrying about it”…
