David B: what crime is it to have prescription drugs out of their container?
I believe it is a crime in California to carry a prescription drug that isn’t in it’s proper container. Does anyone know what crime it is? I want to look it up so I hope to find out the proper code.

Felony, I think.
It is NOT a crime, as long as, if you are required to PROVE you have the items legally, you can do so with either a bottle with your name on it describing that medication, or a letter from the doctor who wrote the prescription or a COPY of the prescription. Whenever you get ANY prescription, it is always a good idea to make a photocopy BEFORE you have it filled and then carry a COPY with you whenever you have the medication on you.
