If you are between 14-16 years old, many kids in that age range go to a supermarket near their house to work.
If you are a athlete, I suggest doing some running and some kind of new sport to keep yourself fit and entertained.

When I was around that age I spent my summers working as a ref/umpire for kids summer sports leagues in my hometown. Not only did it give me some money to spend with my friends but it gave me some exercise as I ran around the field/court.
As far as staying prepared for the next school year (without getting too bored…it IS your summer vacation after all), you could try reading throughout the summer. Reading different types of books and discovering new authors can help keep your mind stimulated, kill some time when you have nothing else to do, and even learn a thing or two.
Answer by BenCut grass. There’s a lot of money in that if you pick up enough yards. That’s what I used to do. It will also keep you fit. Don’t try the washing cars, routine – I did and it was a waste of time. I distributed flyers all over the neighborhood and I guess too many people just prefer to go to Benny’s or do it theirselves. And, if you wanna cut someone’s grass, just find the yards that obviously need cutting and aren’t getting it, knock on the door, and say I’ll cut your yard for you. You don’t need to distribute flyers for this. Concerning school, read some books from your school’s summer reading list.Answer by Stacy H
Some fun things to do over the summer would be swimming, rollerblading, jogging…they all keep you fit and are fun. Some summer jobs that are good for that age group include mowing lawns, cleaning garages, or babysitting….they could also help out somewhere like the salivation army or a food pantry. To prepare of the upcoming school year you could find out what books they will be using in each class and if you’re able to get them ahead of time they could study them. They could also go in the internet and find websites having to do with math and English and use that to study.Answer by Zeke
Read some interesting books to prepare for the school year, do some sort of outdoor activity to keep healthy (anything from a sport to going for a walk every day), to help the healthy thing, get a job as a paperboy for the summer or find chores you can do for people you know (like mowing lawns). Maybe take up a hobby to enrich yourself…some sort of instrument anything from a flute to electric guitar depending on your preference. Also…just hang out with friends and mess around!
Enjoy!
