My three year old wears 4t clothes but it really depends on the childAnswer by Diana
well I have a 2and a half year old and I am buy him right now size 4
it depends on how big he is… But I found that with boys they are normally a size or 2 more then there age so I would go with a 4 or 5.Answer by PaintedWings
3T BUT caution … not all kids fit lol some are to big and some are to small. My daughter at 3 was wearing 4T. She is now 5 and wears girls size 6. (She is so tall, most people mistake her for 2 years older because of her height)Answer by Crystal J
3T is what my three year old wears and shes about 28-30 lbsAnswer by S. Mommy
It depends on size (height and weight) of the child…… It usually is a 3T but if it is a little bit bigger it might wear a 4T and really small would maybe wear a 2T but most are right on so i would go with 3T.Answer by mom

My daughter, who is a little on the smaller side for her age, is now getting to the point where the size of her clothes pretty much matches her age. Last year, she was finally into a size 3T pants, and a 3T or 4T top depending on the brand. She recently turned 4, and is now getting into 4T pants, and is still in a size 4T top. Just keep in mind that it is easier to buy things that may too big at the moment, rather than just fit or that are too small. As a parent, it’s always nice and appreciated to have clothes for them to use later, rather than feel bad that the child can’t use the ones you get now or can’t use them for hardly any time at all.Answer by lilsnob8681
An average sized 3 year old toddler would be in a 3T.Answer by avonwithjulie
3t clothes usually fit the average three year old but the pants could be a little baggy. I usually shop at old navy for my boys jeans because they have adjustable waist bands and they are realllly cute!! (shirts too). Hope I was helpful!!Answer by alisongiggles
Buy a T4 (Toddler 4), as most kids are 1/2 to 1 size bigger than the sizing suggests. Don’t buy shoes, unless you know his size or are buying for the future. In which case, a size 12, or 13 shoe couldn’t be too small yet.Answer by dixiechic
Ordinarily 3T, but every kids body is a little different (just like adults)Answer by H H mama to one, due w/ #2 feb!
well i think the average size would be 3T-4T, most likely 4T. im just guessing, because my daughter is 2 but is about the size of a 3 or 4 yr old and she wears a 4T. (very rarley a 3T will fit her.
EDIT: she just turned 2 in sept.
id get a 4T and if it is a little big then thats ok. try and buy jeans with adjustable wait (it will say) that way he can wear them if they’re big, and you wont have to worry about it being to small
Do you know his hieght or weight? That will tell you and most tags have that info on them. It all depends if he’s a larger or smaller child. I have a son who was always in the same size as his age,but my daughter is tiny and is 3 and is in 2t!Answer by Felicia
Although the clothing companies would like you to believe that clothing goes to child’s age such as 3T for a three year old this is not always true. I always find it best to go at least one size up. Given the fact that it will fit the child better , they will get more than a few wears out of it and that the clothes are usually 100% cotton so they will shrink quite a bit after they first wash and dry the clothes.
