melisgrubb: How do you remove sunscreen smell from clothing?
I use regular Tide detergent on the normal cycle in my washing machine, but I can not get the sunscreen smell out of my clothes. No matter what I do, they still smell like sunscreen. Especially the neckline of shirts. Does anyone have any suggestions how to get this smell out of my clothing so I don’t smell like a beach bum when I wear these clothes again?

my husband is a chef and we have found that the only thing that takes the kitchen smell (he works at a seafood restaurant, btw) is Tide with Febreeze. i think you can get a Febreeze additive for the laundry, too. i do all of our laundry in Tide with Febreeze – and our clothes smell like fresh laundry. hope that helps.
Just add afew drops of your favourite essential oil to the final rinse water in the wash cycle, and wallah, the smell will be gone.Answer by Glenn

Use borax. If you can’t find it, there is 20 Mule Team Borax found with the color safe bleaches on the top shelf of most grocers and wally world. It deoderizes. Read the label, it is great for many things!
