What careers are related to alternative energy?

Plato: What careers are related to alternative energy?
Such as making “green” devices.
I believe that mechanical engineers and environmental engineer are good examples but I would like to know of more careers.

Nowadays, due to lack of non renewable sources people are facing lots of problems. We must start using its alternative energies such as:
1. Coal as an alternative to wood
2. Petroleum as an alternative to whale oil
3. Alcohol as an alternative to fossil fuels
4. Coal gasification as an alternative to petroleum
Other alternative energies are as follows:
•Solar energy
•Wind energy
•Geothermal energy
•Bio fuel and Ethanol
•Hydrogen

yes, we engineers and scientists are the ‘creators’ of the technologies…. but,
it depends veryveryveryveryvery strongly on the policies (therefore political science is important) and marketing (economics, marketing and social science). without approval, regulation, and consumer, the technologies will only reach as far as prototypes in the labs/workshops
