TheChad: What career is there, where I don’t have to work all day, I get great vacations, and I make at least ,000?
Are there any careers out there where I can not have to work all day, say 8am to 3pm. I get great vacation time and I will make at least $ 40,000 a year?

I just want to live life and enjoy my wife and kids (when I get them) and friends without working 8 to 5 and having no vacations.

Become a teacher! I majored in Psychology and I am working as a case manager making 30k a year with 5 personal days, 1 sick day a month and 1 floating holiday with the major holidays off. I got certified to teach in Texas
(the state I am residing in) and the starting pay for a teacher is 43,500…with the summer’s off, chance to make more money if you teach summer school and tutor some Saturday mornings, spring break, and major holiday breaks! Put it like this…I am in the position to make $ 13,500 more for working 185 contract days! They say teacher’s don’t get paid enough… disagree! I plan on getting my master’s in Social Work and either working as a school based social worker or becoming a professor! It’s the perfect job for raising a family!

Buddy we ALL want that. The reality of it is that very few of us even get it. You are going to need to work your butt off for several years and earn great hours, pay, and vacation. No one deserves vacation just because they want it. Bills need to be paid, needs have to be met.

If those kinds of jobs were so freely available and easy to obtain we would all have one.
