Doesntstayinvegas.com: What career fields require a background check?
This is a two part question.
I am thinking of going into the nuclear field and medicine.
Even though my background is clean, I don’t know what to expect for them to find.
What type of a background check should I expect going into these career fields?
And what other careers have background checks relating to your past history?
If you want to know, some employers base not only on criminal background, but credit and medical as well.
I have bad credit and the medical history isn’t very well either.

I’m pretty sure every job does a background check. Don’t want some nut case working for you.
Um, if there is nothing in your background worth worrying about, why are you worried? Any reputable job beyond the high school education level (and some below it) will have a background check.Answer by Sue C
Honestly, about everyone does some kind of back ground ck. these days. I use to sell elect. wheelchairs for 19 yrs. When I started they did no such thing, now they do!!! What in the world wuld. they do a background ck. for that job?! I really think it’s a no doubt ck. your driver’s license which pretty much tells what kind of a “record” you have w/the police. I really don’t think they give a hoot about your credit history or things of that nature. Just basically a “criminal/security” type thing wuld. be the most important to them, & like I said, I believe your license wuld. have that info. I mean look at the way the world is now, you can’t even trust kids in middle schools anymore! But I wuldn’t worry about the “fluff stuff”. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
