Power of m squared: What are some good careers that pay well, having to do something with art?
I am a pretty good artist, and i want that to be my major when im out looking for a career. What are some good careers out there that pay well, having to do with art or design?

Consider graphic artist, commercial artist, or you may have a good eye for interior design or architecture. Your best resource may be www.bls.org, where you can check out the occupational outlook section. It will give you an idea of the pay, required training, job environment, requirements, and job competition.

I have a friend who is a freelance cartoonist. Mostly she does cartoons for the newspapers, but lately she has been hired to draw cartoons for books. Her first book came out this year, and the second one comes out next year. It can be done, but you gotta have confidence, and remember to save coz you have to pay your own taxes.

Otherwise you can work for an art gallery, or submit some artwork to the newspapers, and see if anyone will either hire you, or take you freelance.
