what sorts of questions are landlords allowed to ask potential tenants? I assume credit refs, personal refs, landlord refs…criminal history??? thos should all be ok…not discriminatory in any way are they?

Any one know where to look for lanlord rights/responsibilities in the state of maine? i see MANY MANY tenant rights…ect….but minimal on the ll rights…

Nope they are legal, even criminal check. They can do that.

The only history thing that is off limits is sexual history.

You can ask about jobs, past housing, criminal, etc
