What breed of horse do you recomend for a fairly advanced rider?

horse lover: What breed of horse do you recomend for a fairly advanced rider?
I want to get a horse but I’m not partial to any breeds.I’m looking for a fast horse with lots of energy but tends to bond with rider.

fast with lots of energy is definately the ARABIAN
they have the best endurance of any breed.. and are often raced.

I am not partial to arabs…lot of people are nuts for them I just dont get it. When I need a new challenge I adopt mustangs from BLM its fun and when they bond with you it is amazing. otherwise why not just search for local horses, meet them and fall in love with the one for you not breed specific. good luck and happy trails

I’d suggest an Akhal Teke; bundles of energy, gorgeous, talented creatures. Personally, I believe they’re the most beautiful breed.
Arabs too share those qualities, but are more inclined to be slightly potty.
Thoroughbreds are also energetic and trusting, great animals. My first horse, when I moved up from ponies was a thoroughbred; I jumped from a 14.1 dark bay Fjord x Hackney to a tremendous 18.2 cremello Thoroughbred.
Best horse I ever rode; amazing jumper. Cleared six-footers like they were nothing.

You’ll find a variety of breeds, even cross-bred horses, will suit your criteria, but those three breeds I suggested are all breeds I’ve worked closely and extensively with and they fit your requirements perfectly.
