Its called I-130. We have just started mine, but I am married to an American. Its alot easier if you get married, have her in the US and then start it. It needs to be approved or denied, it can take 4 to 8 weeks for any response. She will also be called in for biomedics (take fingerprints, etc) and will be interviewed. I haven’t done that yet. You can print all these forms out on the uscis.gov site.

And let’s hope she isn’t asking for money is she….that’s a big scam right now. Where a foreign national asks you to sponsor her “fiancee visa” and then send the funds to her claiming it costs $ 4,000.00 or whatever they claim it costs…. oh but please send the money Western Union…..and then waive bye bye to your money as it disappears. kinda funny actually…..
Hope this helps, but keep in mind, the government will ask how you met? And if you say internet be prepared for a denial, because you haven’t met , but if you say you met in a foreign country you better be sure you can prove it, for example if you say we met on holiday in ROME and you do not have a passport, with a Rome stamp and then of course they’d want her passport with proof she’s been to Rome, if not, you would most likely be arrested for FRAUD

Well of course you have to file the papers and they can be obtained from the website the other 2 girls gave, but as for saying they will deny you if you say you met on the Internet I dont know about that since I met my husband on internet and married him in Africa cause that is where he is from and I know have filed papers for him to come here and I have been there twice and have stamps on my passport to prove it so just be honest and up fronty with them and everything will work its self out.But if you havent been to his or her country its best you do so to prove your relationship is truly sincere.
