What are the laws regarding a British National marrying a Canadian Citizen?
My fiance is a Canadian and i am a British citizen.
We want to marry this summer but do not know the laws around marrying a foreign national on Canadian grounds.
What papers would be needed?
Can anyone provide links to information?
What is the waiting time before the marriage license can be applied for?

Even though I was a British citizen who married a Canadian I don’t know
I don’t think there were any special requirements, just the marriage license.
Its a long time ago, but I don’t think there were any citizenship questions
British is as close to being Canadian you can be without being Canadian
all I know is that the waiting time is somewhat around 5 years, but you might get lucky if your forms get accepted quick.
Also you can just marry at a church straight away.
