I bought a car from abuy here pay here lot,and it was a buy as is deal. I want to know if there are any laws to protect me if I find something wrong with it within 30 days of buying it?

buying as is is exactly what you think it means you bought the car as is

Now there is a lemon law in effect for most states that gives the buyer I think 2-3 days to assess whether the car is a lemon or not. during that period you may take the car back for a refund of a portion of the purchase price if you paid cash for it.

In NH, a dealer can’t give you a temporary plate unless they guarantee the car to pass inspection. If no guarantee, “as is” means if you sign and pay, it’s your problem, and you have no recourse, even if it falls apart or quits running, or catches fire at the end of the driveway or parking lot. You should either be willing to “risk” the money, or have it looked at by a mechanic you trust (NOT from the same place you’re potentially buying from)

these are usually cars that have been bought at auction, from trade ins, I have found that there will be a few problems with the cars, like front end alignments, and a fuel pump, in the future see if a mechanic can look at it with you.

None whatsoever. No 30 day back out either AS IS once money changed hands it is yours lock stock and repairs. Not like in a new car purchase even then after you sign the contract your preaty much stuck buying it or trading up. And yes there is something that made the former sell it you just haven’t found out yet. Why would any one sell a perfectly running used car anyway?

The lemon law is for new cars. There is no 3 day, 7 day or 10 minute right of rescission. AS IS means if the car breaks in half as you are driving it out of the dealership, you own both halves.
