Michelle E: What are some religions that use classical music during church?
Such as Christian composers such as Bach, Handel, etc. It’s interesting, and I was wondering if any specific religions often used these melodies rather than more modern tunes.
Thank you kindly for your time.

I wouldn’t call Bach and Handel “Christian composers”. They just wrote music for the church because that’s who paid them.
because that’s a forum of worship
it comes in many forums
Answer by Fireballanyone can do that. We have used traditional Catholic stuff many times on Good Friday..Answer by Eric P
If you want a good list of composers do a search of Oratorios. An oratorio is basically an opera based on a religious story. An example of an oratorio is Handel’s MessiahAnswer by Trish JPA and Jewish Pastafarian
I’d have to say that “The [Catholic] Church” has certainly been responsible for a huge amount of classical music being produced – maybe one of the few good things they have done down the centuries.
Most composers weren’t “Christian composers.” They composed for churches (usually Catholic) because that’s who had the bucks to pay them.
Funny – the more things change, the more they stay the same
Answer by DekayNot sure… Jehovah’s witnesses have used Orchestrated versions, sounds kinda classical.
