Geobreaker: What are some good exercises for tennis players?
I practice tennis alot and always warm up first, but I’d like to know what kinds of exercises I should do to improve my skill. Not oncourt exercise, but like gym or outside excersices. Only the ones that help me improve things such as my swing, endurance, things used when playing. Hope the questions clear enough.

benchpress is one great way and i dont know what this one is called but u sit down on this bench thing that has 2 bars on it and u put weights on and put ur legs through it and pull up and down
The best thing you can do is run, jump rope, play some frisbee, and football. It help you get more swing and right formation. If you want to hit the gym, you just work out on cardio and light weights unlimit of what you want to work out on. Swimming help you with your arm, legs, and condition when you play tennis and keep in shape.Answer by get30inc
Tennis players need to be quick and explosive in their movements on the court. There are three things I would recommend. Number one get in the gym and lift weights. Work on your whole body (chest, shoulder back, and legs). Tennis players especially need great legs so emphasize the lower body ie. squats and lunges. If you see any pro player in person you will immediately notice that those guys have muscle on muscle in their legs. Second, speed and quickness. Run lines, suicides, and sprints. To be a good player you have to be able to cover court and quickly the only way to get quicker is by lifting and running lines and sprints. Lastly work on your abdomen. Rod Laver rightly once stated that if your stomach isn’t in shape you aren’t in shape. It is extremely important with all the twisting, arching and bending that tennis player do in the various strokes to have a strong abs. Do crunches, situps, leg lifts etc and get that 6 pack going. Good luck.Answer by jezza b
