Nicole L: What airline is cheapest when traveling to South Africa?
I’m planning on traveling to South Africa in March of 2012 to pick up my brother from his mission. What airline is usually the cheapest for international flights?

It depends what day you go, where you’re flying from, and where you’re flying to.
For March of 2011, the cheapest fare I see from New York to Jo’burg is $ 1014 on KLM via Amsterdam.
The only US airline that flies directly to South Africa is Delta, from Atlanta, but their fares aren’t particularly cheap.
Answer by AnswerGirlOne thing to remember is everyone has a different idea on what is “cheap”…..and many of those well-known “major” travel sites are owned by the same company, which means normally not much differences in their prices. And the problem with just checking those sites only, is you might miss out on great deals that may be available on another travel site!
You have to think of these online travel sites like grocery stores – they all sell the same thing, the only difference is their price. SO – Why pay more for the same thing the other guys are selling???
I suggest trying this online travel site to see if they any deals available:

Hope this helps!
