mavic: How can I volunteer some time to a father’s rights advocacy group?
I am a father in the process of trying to legalize my rights to my child, and so far some of the things I have heard are absolutely unacceptable under any conditions. I knew some of the laws were ridiculous and baseless, but now that I have seen it first hand, I must do something to help all of the other fathers out there who want to love, support and SEE their children. For the record, I feel BOTH parents who want to see their child, (barring any legitimate endangerment concerns) should be able to as equally as possible!

I couldn’t agree with you more. My husband struggles to get rights to see his two daughters and be involved in the decision process for them with his ex all the time. It’s frustrating that all the laws are set up to give the mother the rights whether she is fit or not.
You didn’t list what area you are in, so it’s tough to match groups for you. Here’s a list of advocacy groups, some for moms and some for dads. You can browse them and see if there are any local chapters you can volunteer with.
Best wishes to you, it’s good to see someone who wants to make the world a better place.
