bkj…: How much would it cost for a 7 day vacation in Bali(No Accommodation)?
I am visiting Bali shortly. I have already taken care of the accommodation. So, I just need to know how much would the cost of:
1. Food Expenses
2. Important Sight Seeing

On meals, depends on where you will eat. If you eat in middle-level restaurants, you might spend IDR 100,000 or more per day. For upscale restaurants, it could reach IDR 100,000 per meal time. I suppose budgeting USD 100 for 7 days is reasonable. Don’t forget to bring bottled mineral water all time. A mineral water of 600ml would cost IDR 3,000 at street stalls.

For the sightseeing, also depends on the distance (the transport cost). Do you rent a car? IDR 350,000 (including driver) for a day ride should be fine. Entrance ticket to sightseeing places are not that expensive. You could visit lots of places by budgeting USD 100 a day.

Overall, for a 7-day vacation (including accommodation) would not cost you more than USD 3,000. Unless you’re a big spender and shop a lot :p

Bali is great. It is very cheap! A lot of price quotes can be negotiated to a lot less then the first offer. if your not good at talking them down on price simply walk away and they will do it them self. As far as sight seeing, talk to a taxi driver and see if they have a personal car they will take you out to sight see in. It should only be about $ 50.00 U.S money for the entire day. (500,000 rp)
You can also rent a moped which is only $ 5.00 U.S (50,000pr) for a 24 hour period. And food is very cheap depending on where you go. Yes if you go to a high end restaurant it will cost you but there are many little hole in the wall places that serve great food. A family of four can eat and leave full for about $ 10.00 U.S (100,000rp)
I have been to Bali many times and am actually moving there next month. Its a beautiful place and the people are so nice. You don’t have to spend a lot of money at all. That’s one of the best things about it. Have a great time and be sure to check out Kuta Beach!!!
