: What are some unique vacations in Northern Colorado?
We live in Fort Collins so we’ve done the typical stuff around here (Rocky Mt National Park, denver museums, camping, etc) but if we want to escape for a weekend and go somewhere unique, fun, cheap, and interesting where should we go.

We love little vacations but lately can’t afford to leave the state. What are some cool places to go and things to do that are within a couple hours of us?

Go south to the Colorado Springs area. Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak. Manitou Springs.

Clear Creek County is fun. Come in the back way down the Peak to Peak Hwy to Nederland. Stop there for lunch and continue down 119 through Rollinsville past Central City over Oh My God Road into Idaho Springs. It is a beautiful drive. Stay in Idaho Springs, or drive up to Empire or Georgetown. Lots to see and do.
