MBH: What does it mean to “transfer the sale from one person’s credit card into another person’s credit card”?
I’ve been looking for tickets on Craigslist for a certain sold-out concert. I came across an ad for tickets and the seller posted that the tickets he has are “paperless” which means he will have to meet the buyer at the venue’s will-call window because Ticketmaster requires proof of ID and the actual credit card used to originally buy the tickets (I am guessing this is because of instances where people use stolen credit cards to buy tickets online & then they re-sell them, etc.). So anyway, the seller said that he can either escort the buyer to will-call window to validate the tickets, or “we can transfer the sale to your credit card.” What does transferring the sale to credit card mean?? I didn’t even know there is such a thing…? Please help. Thanks!

meet him. I’ve never heard of transfer and he is likely to ask you for details you don’t want to be giving to a stranger.
