chilibeans66: Theoretical perm question?
Okay, so I have had a perm before when I was younger. I have also had my hair straightened in the same way. I have naturally wavy hair, a huge cowlick, and I leave my hair wavy or flat iron it straight. Something that I love to do with my hair is have it french braided when it’s wet so when it dries, it’s more of a three barrel look.
I know roughly how a perm works, you put chemical in, reshape the cuticles with rollers or straight brushing, and then when the cuticles go back, they re-form into whatever shape they’ve been put in. So here is my question: can this be done by putting the chemicals in and french braiding to reshape the cuticles?
If this is an UNBELIEVABLY stupid question, I apologize, but I had to ask. Or is there a certain perm I can get that doesn’t curl but waves the hair? Any information would be great, thanks!

there isw a perm that does that. It is called a digital perm, and its very popular among asians. its very beautiful and waves the hair perfectly and beautifully. if you are white i dont know how it ill affect your hair, because asians have more corse hair that can withstand more than whitehair. here a pic of the digital perm: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://xc7.xanga.com/fbbf275003030252256707/z200352752.jpg&imgrefurl=https://www.lovelyish.com/711257347/help-im-getting-a-perm/&usg=__QQlGydHn4fDyI87KNc96glTtBW8=&h=340&w=283&sz=22&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=tlvbUkWkjHWl2M:&tbnh=110&tbnw=88&ei=h6fJTYu1B4uy0QGo2_CACA&prev=/search%3Fq%3Ddigital%2Basian%2Bperm%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1345%26bih%3D511%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=984&vpy=45&dur=983&hovh=246&hovw=205&tx=139&ty=139&page=1&ndsp=33&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0
Try having a perm on a Korean salon. A friend of mine recommends Korean salons here in the Philippines that gives you the chance to choose what kind of perm you like (e.g. small, medium, large or wavy). Tony and Jackey Salon and Beauty Brick Salon are one of the most promising in terms of digital perms. I have tried one and they give you satisfactory results (wavy/curly hair). You must try one of those or any other Korean salon you have in your country.
But if you want a practical one, here’s my tip for you. Instead of having perms or using hair irons, tie your hair up into a loose bun immediately after taking a bath. And when you think it is all dried up, untie your hair. Now, you have a sexy wavy/curly hair.
