MrRyanSmall: Teens And Early Twenties (others too if you want) What Is Your Opinion To Gays?
I mostly want to find out the perceptions that people in their teens and early twenties (the youth) have towards gays, so please give me your personal opinion about gay rights and your friends, classmates, co-workers, etc opinions towards gay people and gay rights. Thanks.
By the way I am not homophobic, I am gay.

Neutral. They’re people, like any other.
I am straight and 20……. i have tons of gay friends and i love them all they are just like everyone else! doesnt matter who they like! as long as they treat them good =pAnswer by You Look So Fine
I’m a teenager, and bi, leaning more towards gay, so I definately have no problem with it and think everyone has the freedom to love who they want. Also, I notice most of my other teenage friends have the same view. It seems to be the old timers who think it is a sin, and the arrogant folk who follow their father’s footsteps. =)Answer by Brock Walsh
As has been said, people are people, being gay does not in any way affect the person, other than their attraction to the same sex. That is the only difference.Answer by Aruba
I’m 15, and I don’t mind gay people at all, everyone should be able to sleep with who they want and it’s none of my business and not my right to tell them what to do.Answer by Crystal
I have no problem with people who are gay at all. I have a relative who is gay and besides my husband they are like my best friend as well. I love him dearly. He is the same person he was before he came out. Gay people are just like anyone else, we breathe, bleed, love, hurt etc. My relative is kind, generous, loving, funny, very smart. He is no different.Answer by Petyt Petyt
I’m very open minded and have no problems at all with gay people 🙂
Here in Holland, there was this tv programme about gays who wanted to tell their family and friends that they are gay. Not that gays aren’t tolerated in Holland! But I was a bit shocked to find out we really needed a tv programme for it, because otherwise some people didn’t (and don’t) know how to come clean.
I believe that there are still way to much people who are stubbern and intolerant towards gays, foreigners and so on. Especially when talking about gay people, the elderly people can’t seem to adjust. Because ‘back in the days’ there weren’t as many gays as we do have now. Bullsh*t of course, they were just affraid to admit it. But, o well. Try to convince them 😉
Answer by KenzterI’m a teenager & bisexual. I figure that people are people regardless of sexuality, race, gender, etc. I don’t think that gay rights such as marriage, adoption, etc should even be an issue. We are all people & deserve the same rights.
As for peers, I live in a very southern conservative small town but still the teenagers seem to not have a problem with gay people but a lot of the older adults do. Mostly the elderly. They say stuff like “because back then people just weren’t gay” or the Bible says it’s wrong. That’s bullsh*t there have always been non-straight people they were just afraid to admit it because they didn’t want to be abused or killed & as far as I’m concerned the Bible is also bullsh*t. It’s a 2000+ year old book written by bigoted, sexist men who thought it was okay to stone people who didn’t agree with them.
There are so many contradictions in that book it’s not funny & the fact that so many people still believe it today makes me question the intelligence of our species. Don’t get me wrong I honestly don’t have a problem with people who are Christian. I only have a problem with those who try to shove their beliefs down other peoples throats & use them as an excuse to be prejudice & where I come from the majority of people who fall into that category are indeed Christian. Anyway, my opinion of gay people is that they are people & deserve the same rights as everyone else.
