DemolitionGirl: Does anyone know how long it takes a computer to “reboot” in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix?
I just had my car worked on, and it seems to have an idle problem when the air conditioning is running. They said that the computer is “re-learning” everything and should go away on it’s own.

It’s running on closed loop mode until it relearns.It will go to open loop providing no sensors are bad.
Relearning is another dealer term for we don’t know what is wrong but it’s almost 5pm and we got to get the heck out of here. There is probably a malfunction somewhere in the system. Go to another dealer but don’t mention relearn.
