Someone u dont know: How do I “squeeze” my chest muscles when working out?
I’ve been working out lately and especially trying to work my chest muscles. I’ve read guides on proper form and alot of them say to “squeeze” or use my chest muscles when doing the exercise, like for example when doing the Bench Press. I don’t get how to physically do that; my triceps just always end up burning out before I even feel anything in my chest. Advice please?

Right now when you do your bench press you’re probably visualizing lifting the bar into the air. This is great for your triceps, but here’s how you get the squeezing action. Stick your arms straight out in front of you. Place your palms together and squeeze as hard as you can. That’s the action you want when you do your bench press squeeze. Basically, imagine that instead of doing a bench press, what you’re doing is using a cable machine to cross both arms in front of you (like rowing, but in reverse.) This will activate your pecs and give you that squeezing sensation.
I think, by squeezing your shoulder blades together you’ll activate your Pecs
