I’m going to Dubai for 2 weeks holiday in April. I am unsure how much spending money to take, can anyone provide a rough guide on how much I would need? Accommodation has been paid for. Answers in Australian Dollars please.

I can tell you that much , A sum of 1000 Us dollars will be fine for sure.

Just take your credit card and be flexible. You can change AUD into AED as soon as you arrive at Dubai Airport. Get around AED 1.000 in smaller notes to pay tips /cabs and buy stuff at places where credit cards are not accepted.

ATM maschines and exchange places can be found everywhere all over Dubai, especially in Malls.

No idea how much spending money you’ll need, because this depends on what you want to do/where to go and your kind of shopping, which you did not mention.

hey welcome to dubai..
as for your question its very open ended as the answer totally depends on what you plan to do after coming here.
if you are coming here only to relax and take your mind off the routine life then according to me a sum of AUS$ 1500-2000 should be enough.

but beware.. shopping is very tempting here… especially if you a lady.. then whatever you carry if not going to be enough…just kidding..

hope that above info is useful when planning but dont get cash just based on the answers you receive here… always carry extra cash and a credit card… just incase..
