snippi f: is it still possible to take a boat oversees rather then a airplain?
i’m trying to find out if i can take a boat from north america (canada) to australia on some kind of passenger boat not a cruise or anything like that. but i don’t see anything where i can book passage on a boat.

There are two options, one is a “freighter cruise” where a freighter carries passengers. You might be able to find one.
The only other option is a cruise ship. From what it sounds like, you’re actually looking for some form of ferry service which doesn’t exist.
If you’re willing to take a cruise ship Princess has itineraries from Vancouver and LA to Australia. There isn’t regularly scheduled service between the West Coast of the US and Australia, these cruises are typically when the lines reposition the ships from North America to Asia.
